The Gore District Council’s Annual Residents' Survey is now open — and we want to hear from you!

This independent survey is your chance to share honest feedback about the services we provide and how well we’re meeting the needs of our community. Your responses help us improve the things that matter most to you, such as:

  • Parks and reserves

  • Roads and footpaths

  • Water supply and wastewater

  • Rubbish and recycling services

  • Libraries, swimming pools, and community facilities

What is a Residents Survey?

A residents’ survey is a formal way for councils to gather feedback directly from the people who live in the district. It allows us to measure satisfaction levels, understand where improvements are needed, and celebrate what’s working well. By participating, you’re helping shape the decisions that impact our district’s future.

Why is this survey important?

Your input helps us make informed decisions, prioritise projects, and deliver better services for everyone. We use the results to:

  • Track our performance year-on-year

  • Identify areas for improvement

  • Guide future planning and investment

  • Ensure we’re meeting the needs of all residents

How the survey works

This year’s survey is being carried out by independent research company Purple Ink. All responses are confidential, and your feedback will be anonymous. Around 400 households across the district will be randomly selected to participate, either via telephone or online.

The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete — but your contribution makes a big difference. Results are shared publicly each year, so you can see how your feedback is shaping real change in our community.

Take part now

We encourage all selected households to take part and have their say.
